Formation of the P.M.O.A.C.1
1. The P.M.O.A.C. (the Club) was founded on the 8th of June 1977 by the following eleven
(11) founding members.
a. Brian Abfolter (deceased);
b. Gary Neilson;
c. Graham Milstead;
d. John Osman;
e. Ken Gladman;
f.
Ken Merrett;
g. Kevin Osman (deceased);
h. Max Carrison;
i.
Robin Telford;
j.
Ron White; and
k. Ron Wood (deceased).
Club Objectives and Code of Practice
2. The objectives2 of the Club are to:
a. promote the sport of angling and game fishing both as a recreation and as a
potential source of scientific data.
b. Formulate and support fair, uniform and ethical angling rules.
c. Affiliate if deemed desirable, with such Associations on a local, state and
national level that have interests and objectives complimentary to the objectives
of the Association.
d. Encourage and participate in activities for the preservation and conservation
of game fish and related species and the protection of their natural habitats for
the benefit of present and future generations, and support fish tagging
programs and other scientific data collection.
e. Promote angling and game fishing tournaments in the waters adjacent to
MacDonnell Bay and to promote instructional and social activities amongst
members of the Association.
f.
Do all such acts and things as may be necessary to carry out the above
objectives.
3. In achieving these objectives Club members will;
a. Promote the exchange of knowledge relating to angling and boating.
b. Participate & organize fishing competitions & tournaments for Club members.
c. Protect the marine environment.
d. Observe and practice current South Australian boating safety regulations.
e. Encourage Junior member involvement in fishing activities of the Club.
f.
Show courtesy toward all anglers and boat users.
