Port MacDonnell Offshore Angling Club Membership

Becoming a club member not only puts you in the running for our many competitions throughout the year, but also entitles you to many other fantastic benefits. Among other things, your membership allows you to attend social events and various BBQ’s throughout the year which are free to all members and their families, free entry into most club competitions, and the chance to win many prizes, such as Champion Angler, Heaviest Fish awards, monthly trophies and more!
Other than new members joining after the AGM, any current member is deemed to be a financial member for the season if their subscription is paid prior to ? of that season.
Membership applications will be accepted at any time, but must be received prior to fishing events or capturing fish that qualify for Club trophies or other awards and prizes.
Junior members are those under 16 years of age at 1st July of the current year.
We aim to provide a good return to you – good times and great company! And through our affiliations we actively support the superb effort being undertaken to protect our recreational fishery.

Membership 26-27 Season Membership Application / Renewal

• Determining Membership Fees. The membership fee for each class of membership
  is determined by the Club at the yearly AGM.
• Annual Membership. The period of Club annual membership commences at the start
  of the financial year on 1 July and extends through to 30 June the following year
• Membership Privileges. To be considered a member of the Club and be eligible for
  competition and annual trophies and monthly prizes, an angler must have completed
  and submitted their membership form and paid their annual membership fee for
  the current financial year.
• Membership Renewal. At the start of each new financial year the Treasurer will send
  a membership renewal notice to all current members. The renewal notice will include
  a membership renewal form. The membership renewal form, plus payment of the
  appropriate membership fee are to be sent to the Club Treasurer for processing.
  Membership renewal reminders are clearly displayed on the annual fridge magnet
  calendar of upcoming events distributed each year to Club members.
• Period of Financial Grace. All current members shall have a three (3) months period
  of grace (1 July – 30 September) following the end of the financial year within which
  to action their membership renewal form and pay their membership fee to the
  Treasurer. If a member’s subscription and payment is outstanding for more than three
  months after the due date shall cease to be a member of the Club. However, the
  Committee may reinstate such a person’s membership on such terms as it deems fit.
• Schedule of Fees.
  The fees for the current season are:
  a. New Senior Member: $20.00 joining fee, + $100.00 member fee; or
  Pensioner rate.
  b. Renewing Senior Member: $100.00.
  c. Renewing Pensioner Member: $64.406
  d. Junior/Small Fry: Free.
  e. Affiliated Angler: Competition fee for the event being fished

We have moved with the times and commenced an on line membership application form and this is the only way to join or renew your membership. It is very simple and takes all the guesswork out of it. Trying to interpret some of the handwriting was a challenge and I recon a lot of us should have been doctors.

To join or renew, simply scan the attached QR code and follow the prompts. Should this not be possible for some reason, contact a committee member who will assist you. We have placed these posters at a number of shops, cafes, etc so you have probably seen them in your travels.

Be prepared because entries for the tuna competition will all be done the same way.
